Black girl culture, simply put, is… EVERYTHING. Black girl culture is an unprecedented and unparalleled blend of resilience, genius, pain, creativity, talent, resourcefulness, and sisterhood that has transcended time and space.
Since the creation of our Twitter account in 2014, Blk Girl Culture has amassed a following of more than 100k Twitter users. Our posts have been featured in magazines and news sources like Complex, Teen Vogue, CNN, BBC and, Blavity among others. Regardless, Blk Girl Culture has kept true to its initial goals.
We have and will continue to uplift and engage Black women and girls regarding issues ranging from current events and activism to health and beauty. We believe that it is important to acknowledge and celebrate Black women and girls beyond our corporeality while demanding equity and justice for us all.
Black girls are creators. We are pioneers. We are activists, doctors, artists, mothers, engineers, students, athletes, lawyers.
We are the change.
