3 New Black Owned Beauty Brands Who Got The Foundation Shades Right On The First Try
Deeper shades of foundation are on the rise from majority owned brands but it is the up-and coming Black owned brands that are getting it right on the first go round.
Brown beauties, brownies and espresso goddesses, I know how much you want that flawless appearing skin. I know how much you want to conceal those imperfections. I know how much you love the way your highlighter looks on your skin after you applied your base and I know how much of a struggle it can be finding your foundation shade. I have seen the ladies come into Ulta, Sephora, Macy’s, Dillards, Saks and so many other stores asking to be shade matched only to realize and to be left wondering, ‘WTF and why did she think my skin look like that.’ Then there are the ladies who come into stores super excited to make a purchase only to realize that the shades just don’t go that deep. No more of that. The struggle to find the perfect match is no more.
Here are 3 New Black Owned Beauty Brands Who Got The Foundations Shades Right On The First Try
Juvia’s Place “I Am Magic Foundation” $20
This brand hasn’t even been more than 5 years and they are already doing big, BIG things when it comes to their brand. They originally started off with most pigmented eye shadow colors that I ever tried. Now there is foundation.
The foundation that launched no more than 3 months ago comes in 42 different shades, finishes in a semi-matte formula and people are raving over it. They are raving because it truly complements every undertone and every shade of the human skin rainbow. Granted there was some drama going on with their marketing campaigns and the fact that they were so getty about Jeffrey Star on their IG story but hey.
Kudos to Juvia’s place. You did it again!
