Recently, podcasts have become a popular new way for people to get the latest updates on topics like news, entertainment, and life advice when they’re on the go or to keep their minds occupied while doing daily activities! Similar to radio or talk shows, podcasts tend to feature a conversation by a host or between hosts that can range anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. And of course, the podcast sphere is yet another area that Black girls have taken by storm.

Black Girl Blueprint
Entertainment, pop culture and identity from a Gen Z Black girl perspective
A new podcast hosted by our very own Makeen, the founder of Blk Girl Culture, and Lauren, creator of The Eco Gal, Black Girl Blueprint was founded on the belief that Black girls have long been the ones to set the trends and transform the culture in a way that only we can. To put it simply: Black Girl Blueprint is dedicated to showcasing raw, unfiltered, and unapologetic Gen Z Black girl perspectives on pop culture and world events. Their weekly episodes center the voices and celebrate the accomplishments of young Black women in a vast array of fields.

5. Introverted Black Girl Podcast
Comedy podcast
This podcast touches on society’s biases and pop culture in a relatable way. The host of the Introverted Black Girl Podcast shares stories of her day-to-day experiences as a Black of an introverted girl in a world that seems to be rigged for extroverts. She explains, “In a world full of extroverts and introverts, the introverted black girl somehow has become the most scrutinized of them all. She must somehow find her way to fit in.”
