4 Eyeshadow Palettes You Need In Your Life
Palettes For Any Occasion and Every Budget.
There is no mistake is already telling you that the new palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills and Jackie Aina, should be on your list. Hell, I purchased it the day that I received notification that it was in stock and was ready. But since you all already know this then honey here are 4 more eyeshadow palettes that you definitely need in your life. Why? Because you like makeup, so do I and let’s just be obsessed with it.
Keep It Natural with Mented Cosmetics “Everyday Eyeshadow Palette” $28
Mented Cosmetics is known for the lipsticks and their current collaboration with Ashley Blain of Netflix’ “Dear White People” but before that they launched a 9 pan eyeshadow palette that is absolutely AMAZING. This palette is ideal for girls who like to keep it natural but then sneak in a little bit of glam.
The majority of finishes within the palette consists of matte and only 2 pressed shimmers which is great because not everyone is keen to eyes that are blinging so bright that the sun becomes jealous. With all of the natural shades one can create a day, midday and evening look. The addition of a medium to deep burgundy shade will allow for more creativity in eye looks. That color alone combined with one of the darker brown shades can be placed in the crease to create sunken eyes or on the lower lash line to create a smoked out lower lashed line. FYI, if you are ever unsure of how to use this palette, simply follow this brand’s Instagram page and they have lots of tutorials.
Midday Lunch or ‘I Have A Date’ Palette is the Pat McGrath Labs “Bronze Seduction” $125
Pat McGrath, the “MOTHA” of runway makeup came to the cosmetics scene a few years ago and killed it. Like BILLIONAIRE status now because of it. She has so many amazing products that range from the new foundation, setting powders and primers to the many eyeshadow palettes that launched last year inside Sephora and on her website. This QUEEN stuns us with both the quality and the price tags. Needless to say, her products and this are definitely an investment.
This “Bronze Seduction” palette contains a generous portion of 10 different eyeshadows colors and finishes that are ideal for those days when you want to look super fucken flawless and can’t no one tell you anything. There are a mixture of mates, metallic bronzes and diamond sparkled colors that will leave you drooling just looking at the palette. If you follow “Motha” on Instagram then you can see a variety of looks ranging from drama, sultry but most of all the looks are a pure “Look At Me”.
Now because I know the price tag can set you back a light bill or a week without groceries, if you purchase on her website, you can choose Affirm to make installment payments. OR just go to Sephora, swatch it, photograph it and decide if you want to splurge on this later.
Festival Time Palette is The Dutchess Club Cosmetics “The Galaxy Palette” $12.99
The Dutchess Club Cosmetics is a small, independent brand of cosmetics that I discovered on Instagram. The products that they offer consist of eyeshadows, loose pigments, highlighters lashes lip scrubs and more! But what caught my attention and should be yours is the quad palettes offered by this brand a steal of a price. They are so freaken pretty!
All of The Dutchess eyeshadow palettes come in either a black or silver metallic packaging with a mirror and the pan sizes are very nice. Each one of the colors that are placed in the palettes are also available for individual purchase in packaging that comes with a mirror as well. Now, the reason I believe you need some of these palettes in your life is because the intensity of each color, the shimmer, and the smooth quality of the products. When the owner shows swatches of the shadows on her The Dutchess IG page, you are immediately drawn and definitely want to purchase all of them. For the price and the quality, this is definitely a brand you want in your makeup collection.
Brightness and Happiness Palette is the Pinky Rose Cosmetics “Bright Lights” $28
There is something to be said about a person who wants nothing but light and love in their life. She is the type of girl who loves to wear bright colors on the darkest of days and on the brightest of days and this is the palette to do it with.
When I tell you that I had a swatch party with this palette inside of Riley Rose, I really did. I literally swiped my hand and sleeve full of colors as I stared in amazement the color payoff. From the photographs the palette looks similar to the size of an Anastasia Beverly Hills palette but it is way bigger. This rectangle shaped, 14 pan eyeshadow palettes comes with a built in mirror and consists of 3 waterproof glitters, mattes and a few pressed pigments. The color “Boom” and “Tickle” are jaw-dropping. I swear the color “Becky” really does make me think of the stereotype but it is a very popping pink color. When you swatch this palette you will see that there is no kickback, just pure color. The colors are very intense and if you prime your lids first and pack on the color then you will really get a really great pay off for any type of festival celebration.
Each of these eyeshadow palettes are all ones that I have been keeping an eye on for a while. They are from all Minority owned cosmetic brands who are beginning to be a part of the trend reports in major magazines. It’s crazy how social media has the ability to help a brand go viral as long as they put in the work and doll, these makeup brands are definitely putting it in.
